Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech)
Location: Syracuse, NY
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: 5 Days/Week
Pay Rate: $30–$38/Hour
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to support physicians during routine and advanced endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience assisting with advanced procedures including ERCP, EUS, and POEM, along with strong knowledge of Olympus endoscopes and endoscopic ultrasound equipment.
Assist physicians during routine and advanced endoscopy procedures.
Prepare patients and procedure rooms prior to cases.
Set up instruments, supplies, and endoscopy equipment.
Verify proper equipment functionality before procedures.
Assist with room turnover, equipment cleaning, and supply replenishment.
Collect, label, and transport specimens accurately.
Maintain and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment, including Olympus scopes.
Coordinate equipment repairs with Clinical Engineering.
Support endoscopic ultrasound procedures and related technologies.
Follow infection control, quality assurance, and safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and support clinical workflow.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Technician experience.
Minimum 1 year of advanced endoscopy experience, including:
ERCP
EUS
POEM
Knowledge of Olympus Endoscopes.
Knowledge of Endoscopy Ultrasound equipment and procedures.
Current BLS Certification.
Endoscopy Technician Certification.
Experience with ProVation MD Software.
ACLS Certification.
Previous experience in a high-volume hospital endoscopy department.
