Endoscopy Unit - CMC - Registered Nurse - Cayuga Medical Center

The Endoscopy Department is essential for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing you with a chance to develop expertise in this specialized field while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to excellence.

Required Skills:
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
  • Proven clinical experience in endoscopy, gastroenterology, or similar procedural settings.
  • Strong knowledge of endoscopic procedures, pre-and post-procedure patient care, and sterile techniques.
  • Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Experience with sedation monitoring and administration.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or BSN).
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a preference for those with procedural or endoscopy unit experience.

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for the scheduled shift (7:00 am – 5:30 pm) with on-call responsibilities.
  • Ability to respond promptly during on-call hours for emergent situations.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and confidentiality standards.
  • Must maintain current licensure and certifications.

Compensation for this role is an hourly rate of $68.34, with benefits including comprehensive medical coverage, weekly pay via direct deposit, paid sick time, licensure, certification, travel and reimbursements as applicable, and participation in a robust referral bonus program.
