Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.
How you will be rewarded as an Energetic Assembler
Monday-Thursday work week working four 10-hour days
Perform basic assembly and test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment, assembly fixtures and inspection measurement equipment in a production environment.
Regularly handles hazardous and non-hazardous materials as part of the manufacturing process. (i.e. - Solvents, explosives, etc.)
Work requires the ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Process Specifications (PS) to operate and setup machinery and related systems.
This position is responsible for ensuring the safe processing of products that meet customer and NDS quality requirements in accordance with time standards for his/her assigned area of production.
Performs general daily housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and area to ensure a safe working condition for all employees.
Performs general maintenance of equipment as required.
Able to recognize and report all operational variances as trained.
Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
Weekend overtime may be required.
Performs minor set-up for specific equipment when required.
Must be able to wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (safety eyewear, FR coat and pants, conductive shoes and full-face air purifying respirator as required)
What you need to qualify as an Energetic Assembler
Experience in Aerospace, Energetic or Manufacturing Assembly
2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
Ability to walk / stand 80% of the time.
Able to lift 5 lbs. constantly, 25 lbs. occasionally, and 50 lbs. infrequently. Above 50 lbs. with a team lift.
Must have the ability to understand and speak English, as well as read and write in English.
Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and packaging.
Proficiency with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) preferred.
Ability to obtain and maintain an ATF Possessor license.
Ability to pass a background and drug test
