Job Title: Energy Efficiency Specialist
Location: 80 Park Plaza, Newark, NJ
Hybrid – currently 3 days in-office per week
Duration: 12 Months

Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to oversee energy efficiency projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing cost-effectiveness. This role involves managing multifamily program management, interfacing with various stakeholders, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

  • B.S. Degree plus 5 years of experience in energy efficiency programs, construction, or related fields. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of experience in similar fields.
  • Experience processing milestone-based construction payments and forecasting financial spend.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency measures, implementation, and cost.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel & MS Word).
  • Commitment to process improvement and attention to detail.
  • Able to travel within the territory to conduct meetings with customers, perform inspections, and manage relationships with contractors.
  • Valid US driver's license.
  • Prior work experience in the client's industry.

Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)

  • Vendor management experience.
  • Invoicing skills.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

  • Develop and manage processes for implementing energy efficiency projects and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with associates, vendors, customers, and consultants to maintain program rules and ensure projects are cost-effective.
  • Develop and customize project proposals to maximize incentives and energy savings.
  • Coordinate and direct activities of business development, trade allies, and vendors.
  • Perform and oversee program and project QA/QC, applying knowledge of energy savings measures and techniques.
  • Perform project site visits as required.
  • Compile and analyze data to monitor project status and report to management.
  • Manage customer relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  • Ensure vendor and employee compliance with safety protocols and practices.
