Energy Engineer Intern Learning ObjectivesThe Energy Engineer Intern will work alongside Energy Engineers in our Energy Services and in collaboration with our Sales, Proposal, and Construction teams to develop and secure energy projects.Training and Technology: Microsoft Excel, Energy Engineering practices, Procore, BG HVAC 101Job Site experience: Conduct site walkthroughs and energy surveys of buildings, communicate with customers, and learn to evaluate Lighting SystemsTeam Meetings: Observe and participate in Energy Services and Project meetingsUtility Bills: Develop the ability to read utility bills and prepare a Utility Data AnalysisEnergy Solutions: Learn to develop Solutions with State of the Art, complete write-ups and prepare spreadsheets of SolutionsSales: Participate in collaborations with the Sales team to develop final projects and attend presentations to customersEnergy Saving Calculations: Learn to develop Savings Calculations, conduct Audits, and refine Energy CalculationsCross-Functional Learning - Learn about Project Management and our other Engineering roles through shadowing members of each team QualificationsJunior and Senior status preferred; Sophomore status will be consideredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with othersPositive attitude and enthusiasm to grow and strengthen skillsAdaptable and willing to learn new thingsTime-management, critical thinking, and writing skillsStrong computer skills ExpectationsBe inquisitiveDemonstrate integrityDevelop self-discipline to work with limited oversightDevelop leadership skills and confidence in your knowledge, skills, and abilities
