    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor"s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 10 years of experience in the energy industry, including developing fuel supply infrastructure projects and negotiating fuel supply contracts.
    • Experience originating, building, and structuring partnership agreements to execute on infrastructure development and operations.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • MBA, advanced degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience working with independent power producers, midstream companies, or investment finance focusing on large-scale energy infrastructure and transition fuels.
    • Deep knowledge of the energy sector, and a demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

    Google"s infrastructure needs go far beyond server computers. As Google"s products and services scale the globe, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google"s future -- everything from underwater cables to physical data center space. As a Strategic Negotiator, you combine your deep market knowledge of a given sector with tech industry savvy to negotiate cost-effective solutions to support Google"s infrastructure growth. You"ll work with specific project teams on negotiating agreements, managing vendor and partner relationships and presenting recommendations to our Tech leadership. Your successful negotiations have the potential to save Google millions of dollars in operating costs and impact every part of the business.

    Help Google solve customers' business challenges by providing global infrastructure and resource solutions. Within this broader mission, the GIE Energy team endeavors to help Google achieve its goals of low-cost, clean, and reliable energy supply to its global fleet of data centers.

    As an Energy Fuels Strategic Negotiator within the Power Generation Solutions team, your mission is to secure the vital energy foundation that powers the future of AI, and by originating, structuring, and negotiating forward-thinking contracts with energy fuel suppliers and energy fuel infrastructure developers, you will unlock critical power capacity in highly constrained territories.

    In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating fuel supply and fuel infrastructure contracts to support growth of Google"s data center fleet, integrating energy infrastructure within Google"s operations, and mitigating associated risks. You will be responsible for originating, structuring and negotiating agreements and hedges with energy commodity suppliers and fuel infrastructure developers to expand power supply options in power-constrained territories. You will be part of teams negotiating site-specific energy contracts based on innovative generation solutions. You will be a key contributor to energy capacity procurement efforts and engage internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the solutions proposed are technically, socially and environmentally sound, supporting Google"s commitment to build and deploy AI responsibly.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running.     Responsibilities

    • Establish strategic partnerships with energy fuel infrastructure operators as the internal subject matter expert (SME), negotiating the construction of last-mile fuel supply projects, ensuring robust pipeline connectivity for critical infrastructure.
    • Lead energy fuel supply project origination and contracting for existing data center sites to maximize delivery confidence, while managing the commercial, financial and accounting review process and building commodity risk-mitigation hedges.
    • Negotiate fuel supply contracts, back-to-back agreements, and commodity hedges for new onsite generation projects involving regional fuel supply infrastructure.
    • Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to develop standard terms and technical requirements for new fuel supply projects.
    • Coordinate closely with real estate, legal, accounting and engineering teams to provide commercial and technical oversight on energy asset-level infrastructure negotiations from inception through execution.
