Our client, a global leader in cloud infrastructure and mission-critical data center operations, is seeking an experienced Energy Isolation Electrical Specialist to support large-scale data center construction and commissioning projects.
This role is responsible for overseeing and auditing Energy Isolation (Lockout/Tagout) programs, ensuring safe energization practices, and supporting the successful commissioning of critical electrical and MEP systems. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of electrical safety, Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE), and mission-critical infrastructure within construction and commissioning environments.

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)
Pay Range: $83.14 - $89.54 (1-year contract)
What You'll Do
- Oversee and audit Energy Isolation (LOTO) programs across construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations activities.
- Review electrical and MEP scopes, MOPs, and energization procedures to ensure safe work practices and compliance.
- Validate safe working conditions through documentation reviews, permits, job hazard analyses, and field audits.
- Partner with construction, commissioning, EH&S teams, contractors, and trade partners to drive compliance with Energy Isolation requirements.
- Support startup, testing, energization, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure within mission-critical data center environments.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master Electrician License, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments.
- 5+ years of experience supporting electrical infrastructure, commissioning, field engineering, or critical facilities operations.
- Hands-on experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Energy Isolation, Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE), NFPA 70E, OSHA, and NEC requirements.
- Ability to review electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, MEP documentation, and energization procedures for medium- and high-voltage systems.
