Arcola/Lovington - Energy Sales

In the Energy Sales role, you are responsible for developing new propane, fuel, and lubricant business while supporting branch performance and budget goals. This position promotes energy products, communicates sales progress, and works with delivery staff to identify opportunities and address customer needs. Involvement includes financial reviews, marketing support, and training of new personnel, along with ongoing professional development and maintaining knowledge of company programs and systems.

Salary

$60,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow all established personnel and safety policies and procedures
  • Development of new propane, fuel and lubricant customers
  • Assist branches to meet or exceed their budgeted earnings and goals
  • Promote all energy products
  • Communicate with employees on sales and earning achievements compared to budget goals
  • Communicate with delivery personnel regarding new prospects and issues with current customers
  • Participate in monthly department financial review meetings and assist with marketing and budgeting8. Assist with training and development of new fuel and propane delivery personnel
  • Attend continuing education courses
  • Understand and be able to explain the company's stock/patronage structure
  • Continue to seek on-going training and educational opportunities as directed by location manager
  • Gain knowledge of our company software and computer system

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field is preferred
  • Five plus years sales experience
  • Self-Motivating personality as well as team building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with management, employees, and customers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong time management skills

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Duties of the job require confidentiality. The nature of the business may require extended hours during seasonal peaks.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area.
