The Facilities and Services Department at South Dakota State University (SDSU) is seeking an Energy Systems Engineer to join our team! We are looking for someone who has an innovative mindset and strong technical background who will help drive our commitment to sustainability and efficient energy usage on campus.
This position is located in Brookings, SD and is a 12-month, full-time, benefit-eligible position.
Facilities and Services is proud to care for campus, maintaining and improving the grounds, buildings, and extended facilities of the SDSU campus. We have staff trained in every principal trade required for facilities maintenance, repair, alteration, construction, or service. These employees can respond to urgent or specialized needs and provide continuity of basic maintenance and repair programs. They also offer a timely and flexible response to renovation projects of moderate or limited scope.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is instrumental in conserving the University's energy usage through the development, design, management, and coordination of construction and renovation projects affecting energy conservation, providing support to the Engineering Shop in utilities management.
