LocationThis is a hybrid remote/in-office role. Responsible to ensure that Medidata is able to deliver quality projects and services on time and within budget through effective management of Medidata resources. At the director level, the individual performs proactively and autonomously, leading large and complex projects and programs. The role includes owning, deepening and expanding customer relationships through participation in client governance structures. This can involve acting as the primary escalation point in which resolution of complex issues is key.ResponsibilitiesIdentify new business opportunities within assigned accountsParticipate in program governance, and manage the overall professional services relationshipIdentify process improvements and drive strategyEffectively collaborate with internal and external resources to achieve project objectivesLead large, complex projects and/or clients, which may include a program of projectsLead project delivery to ensure that all deliverables are tracked and that documentation is currentManage client expectations and communications, and ensure overall client satisfactionManage project scope and financials including forecasting, project budget, and accuracy of invoicingCreate and maintain accurate and current project documentationRaise and track work requests to other departmentsDocument minutes/action items during client and internal meetings; conduct appropriate follow-upManage issues and risks driving appropriate resolution and mitigationProvide proactive communication to all stakeholdersAssure compliance with Medidata's standard project management methodologies, quality management systemSupport development of sales orders and change ordersDeliver workshops and lead client meetingsCoach and train new and junior team membersQualificationsDemonstrate a track record of working independently in an advisory capacityAbility to anticipate and mitigate complex issue and risks thus minimizing escalationsAbility to mentor other team members and serve as a team leaderAbility to identify and suggest improvements which increase the value proposition for Medidata and the clientKnowledge of Medidata (or similar) products commensurate with requirements of the specific rolePossess a solid understanding of clinical research (pharma/device/biotech) and of clinical research SaaS technologyDemonstrate strong verbal/written communication and organizational skillsExhibit time management skills along with strong collaboration and teamworkExperience in leading project teams and meeting project timelinesSelf-motivated and able to assume responsibility in a professional mannerDemonstrate strong computer skillsExperience with the MS Office suite and/or other current software technologiesExperience with creating and delivering presentations4-year college degree or equivalent (analytic discipline a plus) preferredMinimum of 8 years experience in clinical/biomedical and/ or software development environment preferredTravel expectations up to 20%, domestic & internationalCompensationBase pay ranges vary by location. For positions physically based in the NYC Metro Area: $114,750 to $153,000. For the California Bay Area: $121,500 to $162,000. For the Boston Metro Area: $113,250 to $151,000. For Texas or Ohio: $101,250 to $135,000. For all other U.S. locations: $102,750 to $137,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards Medidata provides. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission and many non-sales positions for annual bonuses.
