System integrity checks
Use the dynamometer control system to run defined tests that manipulate control aspects of the engine including spark advance, fuel-air ratio, cam position, valve position, etc.
Interact on a day-to-day basis with powertrain development engineers to perform work on a test article
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma
Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an automotive mechanic, automotive tech, or a related position
Will consider candidates with an automotive repair degree/certification in lieu of experience
Willingness to work in a team-based environment
Basic knowledge of operating a computer
Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set
Willing to work 2nd shift
Must be able to work any shift
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's degree
Possess overall good fabrication skills having a high mechanical aptitude and deductive reasoning
Possess skills for MIG & TIG welding on metals including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, and aluminum
Minimum of 2 years of experience operating engine dynamometers
