Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) meters and related metering devices. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical testing, metering systems, regulatory compliance, and laboratory evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans for AMI meters and ancillary metering devices.
Coordinate laboratory testing and evaluations with lab technicians.
Perform testing for single-phase and polyphase meters.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, standards, and electrical codes.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product quality and deployment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
5+ years of electrical engineering or metering systems experience.
Experience developing and executing test plans.
Knowledge of AMI systems and interoperability.
Strong understanding of ANSI C12 standards, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience testing electrical metering devices in a laboratory environment.
Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and testing methodologies.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
