Your Key Responsibilities

  • Define measures and implement them to achieve high productivity of the company's core and support production processes.
  • Apply crucial engineering processes and give input for strategic decisions.
  • Contribute to the development of the engineering strategy within a core organizational field.
  • Contribute to the alignment of capacity demand, budget and investment projects.
  • Identify OEE gaps and support manufacturing units to improve key machines
  • Perform time studies and cycle time analysis
  • Evaluate machine and plant layouts and optimize headcount requirements
  • Evaluate and forecast needed headcount based on production order forecast and machine load
  • Perform capacity analysis to identify potential delivery issues or investment needed for new businesses and so work with the plants to define better strategy.
  • Create product costing, working with different areas as purchasing and technology development.
  • Support IPA (Investment Profitability Analysis) creation to evaluate economical profitability of the business case.
  • Define the best production location and support product industrialization
  • Lead and support VA/VE workshops for new and existing products
  • Continuously improve, develop and adjust the Schaeffler production system (SPS) for the assigned part of the organization.

Your Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field
  • Knowledge of the automotive manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal)
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing processes like turning, grinding, honing, Heat Treatment
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering
  • Knowledge of SAP software
