The Engineer supports the daily operation and upkeep of the property by maintaining guest cottages, common areas, and resort equipment. This hands-on role helps ensure the resort remains safe, functional, and guest-ready through routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive care.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair resort equipment, facilities, pools, and common-area systems
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to help reduce equipment downtime and service interruptions
- Inspect resort facilities regularly to identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while following company safety procedures
- Assist during emergencies such as power outages, severe weather, or equipment failures
- Work closely with other departments to support smooth day-to-day resort operations
- Keep accurate records of completed work orders, repairs, and inspections
- Support additional maintenance projects and operational tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous maintenance experience preferred, ideally in hospitality, resort, campground, or property maintenance settings
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete basic repairs independently
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
