Engineer- Construction - III

Join our dynamic team in Hartford, CT, where you'll have the opportunity to work both in the office and remotely, while also spending significant time in the field. This role offers a balanced work environment with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, along with a competitive max bill rate.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with the design and installation of equipment used in transmitting broadband data over in-building networks.
• Experience with coax, twisted pair copper or fiber optic cabling, complex networks, and switching equipment.
• Coordinate installation of new in-building networks or equipment.
• Evaluate multi-tenant (residence and business) buildings for compatibility with different networks and systems.
• Manage large build projects involving broadband services, ensuring timely planning and implementation.
• Produce technical as-built documentation.
• Provide general ad-hoc operational support for local field engineering and sales teams.
• Manage construction activities related to multiple, simultaneous network infrastructure projects.
• Provide financial management of projects from initial proposal/bid through receipt of final product or service.
• Daily activities include schedule and financial management, interfacing with vendors via calls and meetings.

Must Have Skills

• General knowledge & experience with the design and installation of in-building network architectures.
• General work area hazard identification & prevention.
• Knowledge & experience with CATV provider termination points (e.g., terminals, pedestals).
• Hands-on experience with testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling.
• Must possess a vehicle capable of transporting tools and equipment.
• Hands-on experience working off of ladders (step/extension/folding).
• Hands-on experience with drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings.
• Frontline experience working with customers/clients.

Desired Skills

• Knowledge & experience with Google Suite and other computer and mobility-based applications.
• A four-year college degree or equivalent field experience.
• Experience working on multiple dwelling/commercial building rooftops (flat and/or pitched).
