Responsible for Design review, Mount Analysis review, Structural Analysis review, Construction drawing adjustment, equipment management, GC management and close-out review of tower based cell site modification projects. Primary focus is managing the installation of 4G + 5G Ericsson radios, tower-based antennas/radios/hybrids and associated secondary cabling.
The engineer will ensure the proper expansion of network capacity and support the modification team’s needs with tower and ground modification projects. The individual will be responsible for creating Bill of Materials, managing inventory with the GC’s for each project. They will have to work closely with other engineers with Equipment Engineering, Real Estate, RF and Network Operations during design and implementation of the site upgrades. The applicant needs to be able to budget spend monthly based on project workload and expected cost.
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to complete tasks with little supervision. Strong Project Management and Communication skills with the ability to work closely with Team Members. Associates degree or minimum of 5 yrs. equivalent telecommunications experience required.
Critical Skills:
Coordination of 4G and 5G tower modification projects via a general contractor
RF Datasheet Equipment and Construction Drawing review experience
Iinventory management of hardware
Surveying shelter and tower assets to identify solutions
Performing site bid walks
Confident with computer programs, mainly excel/Google Sheets
