Title: Engineer, Crawler Electrical - 121528

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Design Engineer for the John Deere Construction & Forestry division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will be responsible for harness and electrical component design for all current production crawler dozers and crawler loaders. Specifically, you will:

  • Work with suppliers, supporting the development of new or improved electrical components.
  • Lead projects to improve cost, reliability, and quality of harnesses and electrical components
  • Implement & document design changes in PDM system.
  • Perform warranty and root cause analysis.
  • Assist the assembly line in troubleshooting electrical issues as needed.

What Skills You Need

  • Ability to read electrical schematics, use a multimeter, and diagnose electrical problems.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience with vehicle electrical systems.
  • Experience with 3D modeling tools (such as: Pro/E, Solidworks, AutoCAD)
  • Experience with 3D Modeling tools for harness routing like ProE-ProCable or MentorGraphics, Capitol Harness.
  • Experience working with electrical suppliers.

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering
