The Engineer is responsible for monitoring, operation, and first‑response maintenance of critical building systems in a highly regulated, mission‑critical environment. This role ensures uninterrupted operation of facilities by monitoring alarms, performing routine inspections, responding to system faults, and escalating issues as needed to maintain safety, compliance, and reliability.

Pay: $51.73 per hour.

Required Qualifications Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in facility operations, building engineering, or critical environment support
  • Experience in 24/7 or shift‑based operations strongly preferred

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, and life‑safety systems
  • Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and alarm monitoring
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting practices
  • Ability to read equipment manuals, SOPs, and schematics

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong situational awareness and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergency situations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and safety
  • Ability to work independently during overnight or weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting regulated environments such as biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or data center facilities
  • Prior exposure to GMP or cleanroom-supported facilities
  • EPA Universal Certification, HVAC certification, or equivalent technical credentials
  • Experience working in outsourced facilities services or client‑facing environments

  • Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, and access mechanical spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and controlled environments

  • Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation is complete and accurate
