As an Engineer in our Engineering Department, you'll be part of a team managing heavy civil capital construction projects, reviewing private development projects, executing annual service, maintenance and emergency response contracts, all while interacting with a team of dedicated professionals both internal and external to the City. From inception to construction, you will play a crucial role in turning conceptual plans into tangible and successful construction projects, driving progress, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
The Department of Public Utilities is looking for candidates for civil engineer who not only possess the technical expertise required for the roles of an Engineer but also brings a collaborative and innovative spirit. Requires a valid driver's license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards. Depending on position, State and/or City certification(s) may be required.

Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
