ATI is a global producer of high-performance materials and solutions for aerospace and defense, electronics, medical, and specialty energy sectors. We partner with our customers to deliver extraordinary materials that enable their greatest achievements: their products fly higher and faster, burn hotter, dive deeper, stand stronger and last longer.
We're seeking an Engineer I, Technology (Process Engineer) in a pivotal role within our technology department in Monroe, NC. You'll be responsible for leading and optimizing processes across various stages of production, from raw materials qualifications to multiple melting processes for titanium alloy products. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in metallurgical or materials science engineering (or other related engineering disciplines) to enhance process efficiency, product quality, and safety while supporting the development and standardization of new products and processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Searing heat.
Crushing stress.
Blistering corrosion.
Maybe all the above. No matter the challenge, we are our customer’s first call. That’s because at ATI, we solve the world’s challenges through materials science. For more than a hundred years, we’ve been meeting challenges for customers whose systems need to fly higher, dig deeper, stand stronger, and last longer — anywhere on, above, or below the earth. Our materials enable our customers to do amazing things, from operating jet engines at 2800 degrees Fahrenheit, to equipping our nation's defense, to safely and efficiently transporting highly corrosive liquids and exhaust streams, to enabling life-changing medical insights.
