GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is committed to providing a safe, high-quality, and efficient transportation system for the State of Wyoming. We are seeking an Engineer II for the Traffic Program in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This position contributes to the WYDOT Traffic Programs mission to provide a safe and efficient state highway system by assisting the supervisor in performing work within a traffic design section. Responsibilities include reviewing and performing traffic engineering studies, geometric and pavement marking design and geometric operational evaluations statewide for intersections, interchanges, auxiliary lanes, and accesses. Provide the traveling public positive guidance through the design of permanent signing and work zone traffic control in accordance with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Standard Plans, and the Road Work Operations manual.

Experience:
0-3 years of progressive work experience (in Engineering) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Engineer I.

Engineer in Training (EIT) License Required or Fundamentals in Engineering (FE)
