A DAY IN THE LIFE
As an Engineer II – Electrical Engineer, you will support the design, coordination, and execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects from concept through completion. A typical day involves reviewing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, and technical studies to ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and project objectives. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, construction, and project teams, performing equipment and material takeoffs, supporting design reviews, and helping resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also travel to project sites to verify construction activities aligning with project drawings and specifications, participate in design reviews, and ensure accurate documentation of field changes. Projects may include battery energy storage systems (BESS), underground collection systems, substations, SCADA and communication systems, transmission lines, and solar PV facilities. This role offers the opportunity to expand your technical expertise while supporting project success and mentoring less experienced team members.
