  • Troubleshoot and optimize process equipment, including pumps, valves, piping systems, filling lines, packaging equipment, distillation systems, and other production assets to improve reliability and reduce downtime.

  • Design, develop, and implement process and mechanical improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to identify improvement opportunities, analyze production and equipment performance data, and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain process control strategies, SOPs, work instructions, and engineering documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational discipline.

  • Lead root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve process and equipment-related issues and prevent recurrence.

  • Evaluate, specify, and support selection, installation, and qualification of manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, and automation technologies to improve scalability and process capability.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process flow, eliminate waste, improve equipment performance, and reduce operating costs.

  • Support and manage capital projects (CapEx), including equipment upgrades, infrastructure improvements, mechanical modifications, and automation projects from concept through execution.

  • Prepare and communicate technical analyses, project updates, performance metrics, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.

  • 4+ years of progressive experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems, including pumps, piping, process equipment, rotating equipment, or packaging/filling systems.

  • Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM), including PHA, MOC, incident investigation, and risk mitigation.

  • Knowledge of equipment reliability, mechanical troubleshooting, and process optimization principles.

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and data-driven problem solving.

  • Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, including CAPA development.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
