DEA addresses modern transportation demands with focused expertise and a diverse set of services tailored to meet our clients' evolving needs.Roads and Highways PracticeWe are seeking an Engineer in Training: Drainage in Salt Lake City, UT.What You'll DoWork as a key member of the drainage team, collaborating with Project Engineers to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses on transportation projectsUtilize OpenRoads and other drainage modeling software to analyze and design storm drains, culverts, ditches, and stormwater management and water quality facilitiesPrepare plans, details, and reportsCoordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, integrated solutions for our clientsRequired QualificationsBachelor's Degree in progress with a focus in Civil Engineering from an accredited programPassing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam (scheduled exam is acceptable)0‑2 years of hydrology or hydraulics design experience related to interstate and roadway projectsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAttention to detail and commitment to qualityPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of UDOT or Utah local agency drainage design standardsPrevious exposure to storm drain modeling softwareFamiliarity with OpenRoads softwareWhat We OfferWe foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
