Redlines Scope of Work Reports Exhibits
Core Responsibilities
Generate redlines of technical and non-technical nature. Assist in identifying the scope of work and fee for proposals, work order authorization, or change orders. Create and manage complicated base files. Perform engineering calculations and modeling independently for final review by a PE. Perform independent QC on reports and models prepared by others using checklists and review tools. Responsible for writing and compiling reports with final review by a PE. May assist with advanced modeling. Responsible for report writing and compilation and submit to PE for final review. Prepare high-quality exhibits for client and public presentations following company standards. Prepare cost estimates with direction. Prepare agenda and meeting minutes for client and municipal meetings. May be asked to lead some client meetings. Present technical topics to clients and review agencies. Coordinate internal departments and subconsultants to meet project timelines. Assist with the request for information (RFIs). Assist with hydraulic and hydrology calculations for roadway drainage. Assist with preparing specifications. Responsible for completing timecards accurately and on time. Perform other duties as assigned. Achieve an 85-90% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification. Minimum of 3 years of experience preparing engineering construction plans and reports for land development projects. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office. Professional knowledge of Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Pipe Networks. Strong oral and written communication skills. Understanding of governmental public and private development codes and ordinances. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Possess a positive attitude and actively participate in company culture. Ability to efficiently utilize time in completing tasks accurately, on schedule, and within budget. Valid drivers license and automobile insurance.
Physical Requirements
Required to stand, walk, and sit. The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally. The position requires a normal range of hearing. The employee must be able to lift 40 lbs. occasionally. Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. Noise levels are consistent with a standard office environment.
