About Zachry Nuclear Engineering
Zachry Nuclear Engineering (ZNE), a division of Zachry Group, provides engineering and technical consulting services to the commercial nuclear power industry. Our engineers support some of the nation's most critical energy infrastructure through the delivery of complex engineering solutions, plant modernization initiatives, digital transformation efforts, and technical consulting services.
At Zachry, we are committed to technical excellence, client success, and developing innovative solutions that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of nuclear facilities. As the nuclear industry continues to evolve-including plant modernization efforts, license extension programs, and emerging technologies such as Small Modular Reactors (SMRs)-our engineers play a critical role in shaping the future of clean, reliable energy.
We are seeking an Engineer IV, Civil/Structural to support commercial nuclear power plant projects involving structural analysis, engineering evaluations, design modifications, and plant modernization initiatives.
Position Summary
The Engineer IV, Civil/Structural independently performs engineering analyses, calculations, evaluations, and design activities supporting commercial nuclear power generation facilities. This position requires a strong technical foundation in structural engineering principles, nuclear plant design requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards.
The successful candidate will apply sound engineering judgment to evaluate existing plant conditions, develop practical engineering solutions, and support modifications that improve plant safety, reliability, and performance. Working with limited supervision, the Engineer IV will execute assigned engineering tasks, support multidisciplinary project teams, review technical work products, and provide guidance to less experienced engineers and designers.
Candidates should possess demonstrated experience supporting commercial nuclear facilities and be proficient in structural analysis tools including ANSYS and GT STRUDL.
