Job Description: Engineer – Pressure Vessels, Mechanical & Structural Steel, Lift Plans & Rigging Design
\nEngineer Position: The primary objective of this position would be focused in pressure vessels, mechanical systems, structural steel, lift plans, and rigging design to ensure safe and efficient design, review, and execution of projects. This position requires deep expertise in mechanical engineering, pressure vessel codes, structural steel design, and rigging design. The position requires an individual who can work with field staff and the customer to identify issues, gather necessary data and distributed within the company and the owner to ensure project success.

\nResponsibilities:
\n- Lead engineering design and analysis for pressure vessels, mechanical systems, structural steel components, and rigging designs for industrial construction projects.
\n- Develop detailed lift plans to ensure the safe and efficient movement and installation of heavy equipment, pressure vessels, and structural steel components.
\n- Create and review rigging plans and calculations, ensuring compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations, including the selection of appropriate rigging equipment.
\n- Oversee the structural and mechanical integrity of pressure vessels and steel structures, ensuring safe and efficient design and operation.
\n- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for pressure vessels and steel structures to ensure compliance with ASME, AISC, and other applicable codes.
\n- Provide technical support during the fabrication, transportation, and installation of pressure vessels, mechanical systems, and structural steel elements.
\n- Perform detailed stress analysis, material selection, and welding procedure reviews for structural steel and pressure vessel components.
\n- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, contractors and the customer to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
\n- Conduct site inspections to assess the status of ongoing projects, ensuring that lifting operations and rigging are executed safely and in compliance with regulations.
\n- Manage project documentation, including lift and rigging plans, technical reports, and compliance certifications.
\nPreferred Qualifications:
\n- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred).
\n- Professional Engineer (PE) license in MI.
\n- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with pressure vessels, mechanical systems, structural steel, and rigging designs in an industrial construction environment.
\n- Experience in ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
\n- Experience in developing lift plans and rigging designs, ensuring safety during the transportation, lifting, and installation of heavy components.
\n- Experience with Primavera (P6) for scheduling.
\n- Strong knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design tools.
\n- Strong understanding of welding processes, non-destructive testing (NDT), and material selection for pressure vessels and steel structures.
\n- Knowledge of OHSA construction standards.
\n- Willingness and ability to enter into confined spaces and work at heights.
