The Role

Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs. Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements. Supports and participates in negotiations with customer. Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources. Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters. Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

This position may support a variety of functions within the department including:

  • Prepares and coordinates the plans and schedules for new or existing programs
  • Determines, monitors, and reviews costs, operational budgets and schedules, and manpower requirements
  • Supports and participates in negotiations with customer
  • Analyzes effects of projects upon various areas to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources
  • Resolves proposal preparation problems and assesses the progress against established plans and parameters
  • Formulates and recommends corrective action measures such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, fund allocations, and work requirements.

The successful candidate should be willing to work any project or task regardless of discipline, size, or scope.

The position will require regular interface with design, engineering, program office, management, administrative personnel, and external customer to accomplish responsibilities.

Must Have

Bachelors Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelors Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • Associates Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
  • Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
  • High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience

The candidate is expected to be granted and maintain CONFIDENTIAL clearance for this position.

E37 NDT department is looking for a strong team member to support NDT engineering across all programs

  • Proficiency in Lean tools for problem-solving and data-driven methodology enhancing quality by eliminating defects in processes
  • Change management is a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations to a desired future state.
  • Process mapping visualizes and understands the sequence of actions in workflows

Project Management & Communication

  • Project management skills to coordinate timelines, resources, and deliverables for improvement initiatives
  • Strong communication skills to foster alignment and secure leadership support
  • Stakeholder Engagement with regular updates, feedback loops, and transparent reporting keep stakeholders informed and aligned with project goals
