Job Summary We are seeking a Product Engineer – Mechanical Systems to develop and implement design solutions that improve product cost, quality, performance, and manufacturability. This role supports product development from concept through production, drives root cause analysis and corrective actions, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement design solutions to improve product cost, quality, performance, and manufacturability.
Manage multiple moderate-scope engineering projects to defined implementation timelines.
Investigate product issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to provide technical support.
Create and maintain 3D models, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
Perform engineering calculations, product evaluations, and data analysis to support design decisions.
Support product validation, testing, engineering changes, and production implementation.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems.
Work 1st shift (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM) with overtime as required.
Follow all safety requirements, including the use of metatarsal safety boots.
Years of Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
1-3 years of experience in product engineering, design, development, or manufacturing support.
Experience using CAD systems and engineering tools in a product development environment.
Advanced engineering degree and related industry experience are preferred.
Skills Required
Proficiency with Creo, Windchill, SAP, ANSYS, and other 3D CAD and engineering tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems.
Experience troubleshooting engineering and product performance issues.
Knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T.
Experience taking designs from concept through production implementation.
Strong engineering calculations, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with gasoline and diesel engine systems.
Understanding of systems engineering and Six Sigma methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
