About the Role

This role supports the development of advanced electronic warfare (EW) systems. The RF Engineer will assist senior engineers with RF system design, prototyping, integration, and testing. The position involves RF hardware evaluation, documentation support, and hands-on testing in lab and chamber environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support RF system design based on operational scenarios, architectural frameworks, and performance requirements.
  • Review RF requirements and assist in developing component specifications.
  • Research and recommend RF components including antennas, transceivers, amplifiers, filters, switches, and cables.
  • Evaluate vendor antenna simulations and support antenna selection.
  • Assist in building RF test benches and performing component-level testing.
  • Support chamber testing for prototypes and full systems.
  • Prepare and update RF block diagrams and documentation.
  • Assist in developing and testing RF switching hardware and circuit card assemblies.
  • Conduct acceptance testing and maintain related procedures for RF components.
  • Troubleshoot RF performance issues.
  • Support compliance efforts related to EMI/EMC standards.
  • Compile RF data for external safety analyses.
  • Assist in evaluating RF threat techniques.
  • Support configuration management processes for RF system updates.
  • Contribute to lab and flight test evaluation activities.
  • Assist senior engineers in generating technical reports and responses for program stakeholders.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with relevant experience (or advanced degree).
  • Hands-on experience with RF systems.
  • Ability to work onsite in a development environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with RF component selection and system integration.
  • Experience with lab-grade RF test equipment.
  • Knowledge of RF interference mitigation.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Understanding of electronic warfare principles.
  • Familiarity with aircraft RF safety considerations.
  • Exposure to Agile development processes.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience integrating RF systems into aircraft.
  • Familiarity with EMI/EMC standards.
