Your Role

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Raynham, MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing CNC machining programs using Siemens NX CAM while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with engineering specifications.

Rate Range: $30/hour to $34/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Develop and optimize CNC machining programs using Siemens NX CAM to support precision manufacturing and production requirements.

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements to create accurate machining strategies and toolpaths.

• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cycle times.

• Monitor machining operations, validate program performance, and implement continuous improvements to optimize CNC processes.

• Support engineering change management activities, technical reviews, and preparation of manufacturing documentation, protocols, and reports.

• Participate in technical discussions with stakeholders, resolve machining-related issues, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality components.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Siemens NX CAM programming and CNC machining process development.

• Strong proficiency in Siemens NX CAM, CNC programming, engineering drawing interpretation, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.

• Experience optimizing machining processes, supporting engineering change management, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams; medical device industry experience preferred.

Pay Details: $30.00 to $34.00 per hour
