Engineer Recruiter – Non-IT Engineering Talent Acquisition

Position Summary

ON-Board Engineering is seeking a driven and resourceful Engineer Recruiter to support full-cycle talent acquisition across multiple engineering disciplines. This role will focus on sourcing, recruiting, and identifying top engineering talent for EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) projects supporting a wide variety of industries including refinery, chemical, pharmaceutical, clean room, HVAC, state and municipal infrastructure, and data center environments.

The ideal candidate has experience recruiting for technical engineering roles in industrial and regulated environments and thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven recruiting environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for engineering and technical positions across multiple verticals

  • Source, identify, screen, and qualify engineering professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire opportunities

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and clients to understand project scopes, technical requirements, and workforce needs

  • Build pipelines of qualified candidates for current and future EPCM projects

  • Recruit for engineering disciplines including but not limited to:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Process Engineering

  • Civil/Structural Engineering

  • Controls & Automation

  • HVAC Engineering

  • Project Engineering

  • Validation & Commissioning

  • Manufacturing & Facilities Engineering

  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking, referrals, Boolean search techniques, and ATS systems to identify talent

  • Conduct candidate interviews to assess technical background, project experience, certifications, and cultural fit

  • Coordinate interview scheduling, offer negotiations, onboarding activities, and candidate follow-up

  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and candidate records within the ATS/CRM

  • Develop and maintain relationships with passive engineering talent in specialized industries

  • Stay informed on industry hiring trends, engineering labor markets, and competitive recruiting strategies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent recruiting experience

  • 3+ years of engineering or technical recruiting experience preferred

  • Experience recruiting within EPCM, industrial engineering, manufacturing, construction, or technical environments

  • Strong understanding of engineering terminology, technical disciplines, and project-based staffing

  • Experience sourcing passive candidates using advanced recruiting methods

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously

  • Proficiency with ATS platforms, VNS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, Microsoft Office Suite, AI tools, and recruiting technologies
