Responsibilities

• Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems.
• Support estimate preparation, develop design options, and prepare construction specifications.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for contractors developing design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.
• Create a safe work environment by prioritizing safety at all times.
• Understand the planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance processes.
• Coordinate activities among internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance.
• Utilize all software applications related to design practices and work processes.
• Maintain industry and company design standards.
• Support design standard and criteria development for the system.
• Assist construction and maintenance teams during daily operations.
• Estimate required materials for projects.
• Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications.

Requirements

• 0-5 years of related experience
• BS degree in engineering
• Introductory engineering knowledge
• Basic problem-solving skills
• Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedures and review with supervisor
• Basic discipline software knowledge
• Strong work ethic
• Positive attitude
• Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors
