Nature of Work
Under general direction of the Engineer Chief, the successful candidate will perform professional engineering work at the administrative/management level in charge of a section of engineering professionals involved in regulating public electric and natural gas utilities. Duties will include but not be limited to the following: assign formal and informal work to staff members; monitor staff progress on assignments; approve final staff work products; conduct performance reviews in accordance with state policies; monitor staff use of time; address other personnel and staff matters as required; may be responsible for own case load, including high profile cases, in addition to administrative and supervisory tasks; may prepare written testimony and testify in cases; confer with members of other state and federal agencies; provide policy recommendations to the Commission; and perform other duties as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Current Professional Engineer (PE) license issued by the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
AND
Experience: Eight (8) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a licensed Professional Engineer in a responsible capacity in charge of engineering projects.
Note: The experience must have been acquired after the bachelor's degree but may have occurred before or after registration as a professional engineer.
