Description
PGS Worldwide is seeking a LabVIEW Test Software Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will develop and support LabVIEW-based data acquisition and automated test software used for production acceptance testing. The engineer will also develop test tools, support PLC integration, troubleshoot test software, and provide technical leadership and training for test stand software development.
Required Skills
U.S. citizenship required.
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Experience developing automated test software using the LabVIEW programming language.
Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) certification.
Experience with PLC ladder logic programming and communication protocols.
Familiarity with EtherNet/IP and Modbus.
Experience with data acquisition systems and automated test development.
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining test software.
Ability to develop technical documentation and user manuals.
Experience working with PLCs and the NI PXI platform.
Preferred Skills
5+ years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW.
Experience integrating Allen-Bradley PLCs using EtherNet/IP and Modbus.
What You’ll Do
Design and develop LabVIEW-based data acquisition software for production factory acceptance testing.
Develop tools supporting test preparation, post-test data analysis, issue tracking, and test-performance metrics.
Incorporate analytical tools and automated report generation into test software.
Develop statistical analysis and trending tools for test metrics.
Troubleshoot test software issues and provide ongoing software maintenance and development support.
Program Allen-Bradley PLC ladder logic and support PLC communication interfaces.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define data acquisition hardware and software requirements for new and upgraded architectures.
Develop user manuals, coding standards, training curriculum, and technical training materials.
Train engineers on LabVIEW test stand programming, architectures, and development practices.
Provide technical leadership for LabVIEW test stand software development.
Ensure established software development standards and practices are followed.
