Engineer V Mechanical

Experience in the design and/or operation of PWR and/or BWR plants, including primary and secondary systems.

Past experience with feasibility studies, equipment reliability issues, system modifications and upgrades to improve safety and reliability desired.

Demonstrated use of independent judgment in performing calculations, modifications and designs and able to present and justify modification packages to quality and safety reviews.

Superior technical knowledge of mechanical discipline and ability to work on project teams with other engineers to evaluate conditions and develop design changes which will improve plant performance, safety and reliability.

Ability to interface and work with equipment vendors as needed.

Familiar with codes and standards applicable to the nuclear power industry as well as possess working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations (including the NRC).

Superior client skills and understanding of the roles of other disciplines, as well as ability to coordinate and interface with other disciplines is a must.
