The Test & Evaluation Lab Technician 1 supports multiple engineering programs by assisting in the design, fabrication, and testing of electronic test equipment. This role works under close supervision and involves hands-on assembly, basic troubleshooting, and routine testing in a laboratory environment.
Successful completion of training—either on-the-job (OJT) or formal classroom instruction—is required as a contingency for this assignment.
Participate in test design and support procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, test fixtures, and test systems.
Interpret engineering drawings and electronic schematics to select proper tools, materials, and fabrication techniques.
Support system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down activities.
Conduct routine tests, collect and analyze data, and document test results.
Troubleshoot basic laboratory and test-related issues.
Collaborate with engineering teams across programs to build and refine electronic test equipment.
Training and mentorship will be provided.
Experience reading electronic schematics and/or engineering drawings
Hands-on experience with crimping, soldering, and the use of multimeters
Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge / work experience
Work Hours: Full-time, 1st shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM listed in HR system, but manager notes start can vary 7–8 AM)
