Schedule: Full-time, onsite, 1st shift. Typical hours: 7:00–8:00 AM start, 3:00–4:30 PM end
Duration: 12 months (contract)
Pay Rate: $28/hr
We are seeking a Test & Evaluation Laboratory Technician to join our team in Berkeley, MO. This role supports multiple programs by building and testing electronic equipment. The technician will participate in test design, assist with procurement and assembly of test fixtures, and support system setup, integration, and post-test activities.
The position requires hands-on skills in fabrication, soldering, crimping, and electrical troubleshooting, as well as the ability to interpret engineering drawings. Training and mentorship will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates with solid electrical/mechanical fundamentals who are eager to grow in a test and evaluation environment.
Participate in test design and support procurement, fabrication, and assembly of components, fixtures, and test systems.
Interpret engineering drawings to select tools, materials, and fabrication methods.
Perform system pre-test setup, integration, checkout, and post-test tear-down.
Conduct routine laboratory tests, collect data, and document results.
Build electronic test equipment to support a variety of programs.
Troubleshoot basic laboratory and test-related issues.
Work under close supervision with opportunities for mentorship.
Interpret engineering drawings and fabricate electronic test equipment.
Select appropriate tools and materials for fabrication.
Perform soldering, crimping, and assembly tasks.
Use test equipment (multimeters, etc.) to support validation activities.
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure test accuracy and compliance.
Experience with electronic schematics and/or drawings.
Hands-on skills in crimping, soldering, and use of multimeters.
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Associate degree not required (considered a plus).
Candidates with relevant electrical or mechanical work experience strongly encouraged to apply.
Must be a U.S. Person for export compliance purposes.
No security clearance required.

Successful completion of training (OJT or formal classroom) is a condition of assignment.
