Key Duties & Responsibilities

The Lockheed Martin Space Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Engineering Aide Sr Spec to be part of a team in Courtland, AL producing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity!

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support production operations.

The role will require strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

In this exciting role you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Create and manage Production Order routers within Apriso/MPM Link
  • Develop, edit, and maintain Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure that all components and materials are accurately tracked and managed
  • Assist with special projects, including but not limited to: Part Kitting, Smart Torque Wrench implementation, MGSE Standard Operating Procedures, Shop Aid Tool development

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with manufacturing engineering or manufacturing engineering technology
  • Knowledge of manufacturing principles and production line setup, launch and/or development
  • Familiarity with MES (manufacturing execution system)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing bill of materials, creation, edit, and/or maintenance
  • Experience creating and revising manufacturing work instructions
  • General understanding of how parts are stocked, kitted and consumed on the shop floor

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with MDA or missile defense programs
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or industry equivalent processes
  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or industry equivalent tools (ERP/SAP, EPDM, VECAMS, Apriso, MPM Link, Windchill, PMP Database, etc)
  • Basic tooling, fixture, and equipment design experience

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
