The Engineering Analyst HVAC Specialist position is based out of our LaSalle County Generating Station in Marseilles IL.

Expected salary range
Entry Level - 76000
Mid-level 90000 - 111000
Senior Level 120000- 148000
Ranges are per year based on experience along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K
Primary Purpose of Position
Performs advanced technicalengineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop manage and implement engineering analysis activities and programs.
Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
Provides initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
Perform engineering and technical tasks as assigned by supervision applying general engineering principles
Accountable for the accuracy completeness and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria practices procedures and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
Perform independent research reviews studies and analyses in support of technical projects and programs.
Recommend equipment new concepts and techniques to improve performance simplify construction reduce costs correct design or material flaws or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy including but not limited to emergency response departmental coverage call outs and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Assoc Engineering Analyst E01
Bachelors degree in a technical field non-engineer OR
Associates degree in a technical field and 1 yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR
High School DiplomaGED and a minimum of 2 years nuclear experience
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable and favorable medical examination andor testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Engineering Analyst E02
Bachelors degree in a technical field non-engineer and 2 yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR
Associates degree in a technical field and 3 yrs of nuclear or related industry experience OR
High School DiplomaGED and a min of 5 years applicable nuclear experience
Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable and favorable medical examination andor testing in accordance with position duties
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Engineering Analyst E03
Bachelors degree in a technical field non-engineer and 5 yrs of nuclear or related industry experience
Associates degree in a technical field and 7 yrs of nuclear or related industry experience
High School DiplomaGED and a min of 8 years nuclear experience or related experience of which 5 years should be at the exempt level
Working knowledge of engineering processes and systems required for the specific functional area
Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements as applicable and favorable medical examination andor testing in accordance with position duties
Proven experience in commercial HVAC installation repair and maintenance
Ability to assist in troubleshooting HVAC systems and inspect test and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems identifying malfunctions and performing emergency repairs
Knowledge of air conditioning heating refrigeration and ventilation systems including boilers and heat pumps
Ability to read blueprints technical schematics and interpret specialized tools like multimeters
Strong problem-solving documentation and communication skills
Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred
