Engineering Assistant
Job Location: Benicia, California

Pay Rate: $24-$27/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; $24-$27/hour
Description of Position:
Do you have experience working in a manufacturing environment and enjoy hands on mechanical work? Our client is seeking an Engineering Assistant to support our maintenance team with equipment assembly, machine repairs, facility maintenance, and general shop support. This assignment is expected to last through the summer months.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment
- Support the construction, installation, and assembly of new machinery
- Safely use hand tools and power tools to complete assigned tasks
- Assist with basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs under supervision
- Perform facility maintenance, including painting, cleaning, organizing, and minor repairs
- Move materials, parts, and equipment throughout the facility
- Collect trash and recyclables and maintain clean work areas
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Description of Company:
You will be supporting a well-established company that is a prominent industry player, specializing in the production of prepreg and custom cellular core materials for the Aerospace Industry in Benicia, California.
Experience Required:
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance, manufacturing, or construction work
- Experience using common hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety practices
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work on your feet throughout the day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in maintenance, construction, automotive, fabrication, or manufacturing environments
- Forklift experience
- Experience working in an industrial setting
