Engineering Assistant

Location: Chatsworth, CA
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an entry-level Engineering Assistant to support our engineering and manufacturing teams in a fast-paced aerospace coatings environment. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate or an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering who is looking to begin a career in the aerospace industry. The Engineering Assistant will assist with technical documentation, process improvements, data collection, and production support while gaining exposure to aerospace coating operations and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers with daily technical and administrative tasks.
  • Support coating process development, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and organize production and quality data.
  • Prepare reports, work instructions, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Maintain engineering records and files in compliance with company and customer requirements.
  • Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing and coating process issues.
  • Support quality inspections and help investigate non-conformance issues.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and operations teams to meet project objectives.
  • Participate in process audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Chemical, Aerospace, or related discipline).
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to learn new software systems and engineering applications.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
