Are you a recent engineering graduate eager to apply your academic knowledge to real-world power systems? At LCRA Transmission Services Corporation (TSC), our mission is to enhance the quality of life for Texans by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of high-voltage electricity across the state. As a Reliability Engineering Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our grid's stability by analyzing equipment performance, investigating equipment health, and developing proactive strategies to prevent outages. This role offers a strong entry point into Reliability Engineering, with opportunities to learn from industry experts, collaborate on impactful projects, and grow your career while making a difference in communities across Texas. 

How You’ll Contribute:
  • Leverage data visualization tools (Power BI, SQL) to continuously monitor transmission equipment health, identify trends, and drive condition-based maintenance strategies. 
  • Investigate equipment failures and system incidents to determine root causes, implementing targeted corrective and preventive measures to eliminate recurrence. 
  • Partner with maintenance teams to optimize preventive schedules, develop robust procedures, and execute strategies that extend the operational life of critical transmission assets. 
  • Conduct comprehensive reliability assessments to pinpoint network vulnerabilities, designing mitigation strategies against extreme weather, cyber threats, and other operational disruptions. 
  • Work seamlessly with operations, maintenance, and construction departments to align asset management strategies and achieve shared corporate reliability goals. 
  • Identify process inefficiencies and develop innovative technical solutions to proactively enhance overall system reliability and performance. 
How You’re Qualified:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science.
  • One or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job.
  • Driver's license
How You’ll Stand Out:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering 
  • Previous internship or work experience in reliability engineering 
  • Experience in Power BI

For Engineering Associate I consideration you will need a related bachelors degree.

For Engineering Associate II consideration you will need a related bachelors degree with at least 1 year of experience post graduation.

For Engineer consideration you will need an active Professional Engineer License in Texas.
