As a team we are committed inspired and connected to make a difference in the community.  What You Will DoThe Engineering Associate plays an important role in providing support to all areas of the Engineering Division. Your day-to-day will include the opportunity to participate in both office and field work. Working under the direction of Engineering Division leadership you will participate in field assessments and investigations complete daily inspection reports and assist with various engineering surveys. Essential Duties
Assist with the inspection of roads bridges and storm drain systems. Document progress complete daily reports and compile composite reports.
Monitor temporary traffic control for compliance.
Participate in field investigations and assessments of County&rsquos culvert system roadways bridges signage pavement markings and traffic barriers.
Prepare worktables charts and drawings for paving and pipe replacement contracts.
Assist with the completion of GISGPS topographic and engineering surveys.
Complete assigned work in a timely fashion. Accept feedback.
Demonstrate an ability to collaborate and a willingness to learn. Participate in a supportive work environment.

High school diploma or general education diploma GED
Up to one year of related experience
A comparable amount of education and experience may be substituted for the minimum requirement.

Must meet Carroll County Risk Management driver eligibility requirements
Working Conditions
Frequent physical activity standingwalking pushingpulling bending reaching lifting and carrying climbing steps squatting stooping kneeling and related activities may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent exposure to potentially adverse weather conditions.
Must wear appropriate PPE as required.
