    SUMMARYWe are hiring an Engineering/CAD Operator Apprentice to assist our Engineer 20 – 30 hours weekly 1st shift. In this role, The Engineering / CAD Operator Apprentice supports the engineering and design team by creating, updating, and maintaining technical drawings and documentation using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This entry‑level apprenticeship provides hands‑on training in drafting standards, engineering processes, and manufacturing or construction design practices while developing technical and professional skills.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSAble to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.High school diploma or GED.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to learn technical software and processes.Operate with a sense of positive energy and urgency.Ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomous environment.Able to adapt to the company's culture, work safely, and possess a positive attitude.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced skills in Microsoft OfficeCoursework in drafting, CAD, engineeringFamiliarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar CAD softwareMechanical aptitude or technical experienceCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf‑motivated with a results‑driven approachCurrently enrolled in a technical, engineering or relevant fieldEMPLOYEE PERKSCulture committed to work‑life balance.The opportunity to work for a company that supports sustainability and is growing!ABOUT THE JOBParagon Tempered Glass, LLC, is a specialty fabricator offering custom glass solutions to numerous markets from two U.S.-based facilities. Fabricating glass products is our only business, and our employees are passionate about maintaining their reputation as industry leaders.YOUR ROLECreate and revise 2D and 3D CAD drawings under supervisionAssist engineers and designers with project layouts and technical documentationMaintain accurate drawing files, revisions, and recordsInterpret sketches, specifications, and engineering instructionsEnsure drawings comply with company and industry standardsSupport project teams with measurements, calculations, and material take‑offsParticipate in design reviews and team meetingsLearn and apply safety, quality, and drafting proceduresOrganize electronic files and maintain document control systemsAssist with prototype, fabrication, or installation documentation as neededWORKING ENVIRONMENTMonday thru Friday, minimum 20 hours; flexible schedule between the hours of 8a – 4p.COMPENSATION & SHIFTStarting $17+; commensurate with experience and knowledge#J-18808-Ljbffr
