The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia has an opening for an Engineering Clerk.
Responsibilities
- Maintain engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- File and organize records, manuals, and project files.
- Enter data into engineering and maintenance software.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and correspondence.
- Track work orders, equipment records, and project progress.
- Order office and engineering supplies.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate with engineers, vendors, and contractors.
- Assist with purchase orders, invoices, and inventory records.
- Update databases with revisions to drawings and specifications.
- Answer phones, emails, and perform general office duties.
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational and filing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic understanding of engineering terminology and drawings (preferred)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Additional Responsibilities in Manufacturing or Utility Environments
- Maintain preventive maintenance records.
- Track equipment repairs and parts inventory.
- Prepare documentation for regulatory inspections.
- Assist with engineering change notices (ECNs) and document control.
