This position will involve significant travel to project sites and direct coordination with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, engineering standards, and applicable codes. It is important for the new team member to accept responsibility for their projects while ensuring the quality of the work product. In short, DKK is not looking for an employee, we are looking for a team member ready to make an impact!Job Requirements:Perform on-site inspections for drainage systems, shoring installations, structural components, and related construction activitiesPerform field verification of completed work for drainage certifications, shoring certifications, and related closeout documentationDocument field conditions through photographs, notes, measurements, and organized reportsReview construction plans, engineering drawings, surveys, specifications, and permit documents to verify compliance in the fieldPrepare detailed inspection reports, certifications, and supporting documentation for clients and regulatory agencies per DKK templates and standardsCoordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and project managers to resolve field issues and deficienciesMonitor construction activities for compliance with approved plans, safety standards, and applicable codes/regulationsCommunicate effectively with clients, contractors, subconsultants, and internal team membersManage multiple projects and inspection schedules throughout South FloridaUtilize Microsoft Office, PDF markup tools, and inspection/reporting software efficientlyMaintain professionalism and strong attention to detail while working independently in the fieldJob Type: Full Time / Contract / Freelance Opportunities AvailableJob Location: South Florida (Remote Field Position with travel required)Office Location : Royal Palm Beach, FLRequired Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Inspection, or related field preferredRequired Experience:Construction Inspection: 3–5 years preferredExperience with drainage systems, shoring inspections, structural inspections, or related construction activitiesExperience reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documentsField reporting and certification documentation experience preferredRequired Licensure:Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation requiredEI, or related inspection certifications preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, climb, and navigate construction sites for extended periods of timeAbility to work outdoors in varying weather and active construction site conditionsMust be able to occasionally lift and carry equipment up to 40 poundsCompensation: $22-24/hr. with increases available based on impact to existing projects.
