Role Overview
Is hiring a Senior Construction Electrical Engineer in Lake Mary, FL. This role serves as the technical lead for electrical engineering support across construction and commissioning for Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, and CHP power projects. The Senior Engineer provides expert guidance on electrical systems, oversees construction and commissioning activities, resolves complex site and design issues, and ensures compliance with Power standards, customer requirements, and applicable codes. The role collaborates closely with crossfunctional teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver safe, compliant, and efficient project execution while mentoring junior engineers.

Serve as the primary electrical technical authority for construction and commissioning, providing expert guidance across assigned projects.
Lead development, review, and approval of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures; validate designs, analyses, and field execution for AC/DC systems.
Interpret and verify complex electrical documents, including drawings, protection schemes, wiring diagrams, load lists, and equipment data, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.
Lead resolution of complex site and design issues, including protection, controls, integration, and commissioning challenges; support RCAs and corrective actions.
Provide authoritative technical direction to Site Managers, TFAs, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
Oversee construction support planning, protection coordination studies, relay settings, shortcircuit analyses, and alignment with project schedules.
Review and approve technical submittals, PARs, bid evaluations, and major equipment acceptance through crossfunctional collaboration.
Mentor and develop engineers, promote best practices, drive standardization of electrical procedures, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellence..
Requirements
Bachelors degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering.
10%2B years of experience supporting Gas Turbine, CCGT, or large power-generation electrical systems.
Deep experience with GT controls, excitation systems, relays and protection, high-voltage distribution equipment, and commissioning practices.
Experience with P6 or similar scheduling tools is desirable.
Strong understanding of ISO procedures, OSHA requirements, and power plant safety protocols.
Travel domestically/internationally up to 2030% as required.
