Overview

The Engineering Internship provides hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, supporting real-world projects and gaining exposure to multiple facets of plant operations.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collaborate with operations teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
• Conduct maintenance and reliability reviews of plant machinery.
• Assist in updating and improving standard operating procedures and employee training materials.
• Participate in investigations of process safety near misses or incidents.
• Support safety and operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage a small-scale engineering project from concept to completion.
• Learn and apply key components of OSHA's Process Safety Management (PSM) standards.
• Gain exposure to five major operational areas of the site, including production and support functions.

Education and Experience

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering.

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Interest in manufacturing, process safety, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing setting with both indoor and outdoor workspaces.

Exposure to active production areas, machinery, and chemical processes.

Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.

Collaborative team environment with cross-functional interaction across engineering, operations, and safety departments.
