Job Description

The Engineering Lab Technician supports product development, testing, and validation activities for aerospace and defense components. This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring product performance under demanding environmental and operational conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support product development, testing, and validation activities.
• Ensure product performance under demanding environmental and operational conditions.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions.
• Conduct mechanical and environmental testing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Collect and report data accurately.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of hands-on technical experience in a lab, manufacturing, or testing environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and test procedures.
• Experience with data collection and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with environmental or aerospace testing.
• Familiarity with pressure systems, airflow systems, or instrumentation.
• Background in electronics or mechanical systems.

Work Environment

This role is within a small company with about 60 employees across production, engineering, quality, and front office support. The position offers a unique schedule of four ten-hour days, allowing for every Friday off. The company is a leading supplier to the aerospace industry, specializing in moisture control solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cookstown, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.25/hr.
